This 2022 Lance 1685 combines premium construction with a practical layout, generous storage, and four-season capability. Built with aluminum framing, Azdel interior wall panels, and insulated laminated floors and ceilings, it offers more than your typical entry-level travel trailer.

It comes with a substantial off-grid power system (1kW Solar, 200Ah Batteries, 3kW Inverter, 40A Alternator Charger), new tires (1/26), and a brand-new rear axle with fresh wheel bearings (8/26). If you want extra peace of mind, you can also take over the remaining extended warranty (valid until 2029) for just its residual value. We purchased it from an older couple in January 2025 and have maintained it carefully ever since.

Warranty

First off, this RV has an Exclusionary RV Complete Warranty, valid until 31/1/2029. The asking price of $33,490 is for the trailer only. If you'd like to keep it, you can take it over for $1,300, which is its current residual value (exactly the amount we would get back if we canceled it).

The warranty is transferable to the new owner and has a $250 independent deductible ($100 for Blue Compass locations). Weve used it twice during our ownership, once for a slide-out mechanism replacement and once for the axle replacement, and both claims were properly handled.

History & Condition

We purchased this fully-optioned travel trailer from Airstream of Tampa in January 2025, after an older couple traded it in for a brand-new 33ft AirStream Classic.

Since then, weve traveled alternating between the trailer, monthly AirBnB stays, and trips abroad.

Weve taken good care of the trailer and stayed on top of preventative maintenance. We spot-recaulked areas whenever they looked like they needed attention and fully recaulked the trailer twice during our ownership as a precaution, not in response to any known water intrusion. We also addressed issues as they came up and kept the trailer properly ventilated.

The trailer has served us well, has no known mold issues or wet spots, and all systems are fully functional. Were happy to walk you through everything during an in-person or virtual viewing.

Power System

This RV gives you the opportunity to disappear from the map. 1,000W of solar input, stored in two high-quality Rich Solar batteries, and distributed by a 3,000W inverter allow you to run your A/C and a blow dryer simultaneously, if thats what youre into.

For trips with limited sunshine, the additional 40A alternator charger lets you recharge the battery bank using your tow vehicle, so theres no need to lug a heavy generator around.

The solar panels are mounted using Eternabond, with the cables routed along the exterior into a dedicated compartment. This avoids additional roof penetrations for the solar wiring and keeps the system accessible for inspection and maintenance.

Final Words:

Were selling the Lance trailer due to a lifestyle change. Our business is currently taking off and we need to slow down our travels to manage the growth. So, instead of keeping it, wed rather sell it to someone whos going to enjoy it as much as we did.

We especially appreciated its solid build, huge amounts of storage, half-ton tow-ability (you could probably get away with a mid-size truck as well), off-grid readiness, and thoughtful design.
