Description

Nearly New Eddie Bauer used for about a year, must sell to free up finances for sailboat purchase. I've decided to return to the coastal Pacific Northwest sailing in my remaining retirement years and I can't afford two recreational vehicles. I'm selling my motorhome to make way for a future live aboard sailboat.

This RV setup is one of the best layouts to have a motorhome. It is a comfortable road warrior with its SmoothTech suspension system. It really does drive like a van and handles exceptionally well, without feeling like you're driving a big truck. The big V8 is much better than the older V10's and has the power to go up long grades without constant shifting up/down. In fact, the cruise control allows you to use manual shifting so you can chose a lower gear and engine rpm that you desire. I definitely recommend anyone to choose gasoline rigs verses diesel rigs, the reason is the DEF and soot particle filtering that adds a big cost to maintenance and driving expense. I used to have a diesel powered van and believe me, you don't want to experience "limp mode" and try to find a chassis dealer willing to take you in while on a trip. No accidents, but a small dent on right rear bumper caused backing up a cargo trailer in a tight car wash scenario, I'll add picture later.

- Gasoline powered Ford 7.3L V8, 325 HP, 450 Ft/Lb Torgue

  • Built in 4000W generator

  • Soft start kit installed for built in 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner

  • Rooftop Solar keeps house batteries topped off

  • Fuel tank is 55 gallons

  • Propane 40 Lbs

  • Fresh water 40 gallons

  • Gray tank 37 gallons

  • Black tank 24 gallons

  • Has 4 seasons tank heaters

  • 8,000 lb tow hitch effortlessly tows almost any trailer

  • Removable, foldup bike rack on the rear for two bicycles

  • All plumbing is under the floor boards but not exposed under the chassis for true 4 season use in most climates

No slideouts to complicate your interior and minimize mechanical breakdowns. This setup allows you to pull over and take a break from driving without having to move slideouts to access all the interior features.

I've had the "instant on" hot water heater replaced with the standard 5 gallon tank heater. The instant on sounds great until you actually experience it with icy cold water in spurts between hot water while trying to save water when off the grid. The hot water tank gives you lots of continuous hot water for many users.

Also, I have upgraded the house batteries to the maximum deep cycle AGM configuration and installed a large 2000W, Xantrex 458 Inverter/charger. The charger handles the AGM charging cycles for long battery life, and the inverter can generate 120 VAC at 17 amps so you can use the microwave while traveling or off the grid camping.

Overall this is a very capable RV for any kind of road travel and off grid experience. It's got that small RV handling for tight situations and big rig ride for long trips. Comes complete with fill and dump hoses and all manuals. Extended warranty may be transferable but I don't know at this time.
