Description
For Sale, 1978 Airstream, Argosy model 27 foot, Serial Number 27D8V1162 The title of the ad is generated by RV Trader so i am not able to correct the 28 foot. It is 27 foot model.
The Airstream Argosy 27 is a classic travel trailer model that was first introduced in 1978. Argosy was introduced by Airstream as a lower cost model and was used to try new interior designs and use blemished Aluminum that could be painted. They used one piece endcaps made from a single piece of steel. The Argosy had the same durable construction and aluminum frame. These trailers has become popular collectors items. Just like the airstream they are easy to pull and comfortable for collectors, enthusiasts and road trippers alike.
This unit has been restored with a more modern interior and multiple upgrades including electric stabilizers front and back, Solar, and revised interior layout that provides more Kitchen space and maximum storage throughout the trailer. The interior layout features a couch that folds out to a bed and a front dining area that also converts to a bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living area, making it feel like a home away from home. The timeless design and attention to detail are evident throughout, the trailer with quality craftsmanship that Airstream is known for and a top of the line restoration. Trailer is ready for camping travel or boondocking.
This Argosy trailer has been completely restored from the ground up. We are selling to downsize to small class C since we want to see the country and not camp or spend time setup for a week or more. Majority of work completed 3 years ago, with work done in the last year. I tried to show in the photos the condition of the unit and work done. I did not take any glamor shots with flowers and table clothes but if you need more information or would like a specific photo, or buyer inspection or profession inspection please contact me.

Use over last three years,
We live in Georgia, have made trips to Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Florida 4 times, and have stayed at multiple state parks and bluegrass festivals in Georgia. The trailer is stored out of the weather. The only leaks I have detected was driving through a heavy rain storm in Mississippi and a small amount of water came in through one of the wheel wells. I pull it with a 2022 F-150 Limited hybrid pickup with no issues. The trailer is equipped with an anti-sway and stabilizing hitch. I replaced the pressure regulator on the water system due to the top seal leaking this year. Will consider selling the truck which will power the trailer if disconnect from the hitch which triggers the ground fault on the truck.
