We're selling our 2018 Lance 2285 travel trailer, a well-built and thoughtfully upgraded camper that has served us extremely well over the years.

The 2285 is one of Lance's most versatile layouts: approximately 27 feet overall with a large slide, spacious U-shaped dinette, rear kitchen, private front bedroom with walk-around queen bed, full bath and dual entry doors. At roughly 4,740 lbs. dry, it offers a surprising amount of living space without stepping up to a much larger travel trailer.

We've made several substantial upgrades over the years, particularly to make the trailer more capable for camping without hookups.

The electrical system has been upgraded to 400 watts of rooftop solar, two Battle Born lithium batteries and an inverter, providing considerably more off-grid capability than the original factory setup.

Other upgrades include an additional Fantastic Fan in the kitchen in place of the original roof vent, a Dometic 310 toilet installed last year, a protective front window cover, upgraded lower dinette seat cushions and a Fastway e2 weight-distribution/sway-control hitch that will be included with the trailer.

The Lance 2285 has a terrific floor plan for both weekend camping and longer trips. The rear kitchen offers excellent counter and storage space, the slide opens up the living area considerably, and the separate front bedroom provides more privacy than you'll find in many trailers of this size.

We've enjoyed this trailer tremendously and have continued improving it during our ownership rather than leaving everything in its original configuration. We're selling because our travel and camping needs have changed, not because of any issue with the Lance.
