Upgraded to the new 12v Dometic 10 cu ft compressor refrigerator in 2023. No more crappy performing and unsafe propane refrigerator! ($1600 plus labor)
All interior lights upgraded to LED's (a couple hundred $)
Upgraded to LCD high def color backup camera and monitor (about $500, IIRC)
Kitchen and bath faucets and shower valves all upgraded (couple hundred $)
Awesome, Wave 3 catalytic heater upgrade in the bedroom. Less propane consumption and no more listening to the furnace kick on and off in the middle of the night! (about $400 total)
Flushed the coolant, replaced the engine coolant hoses and upgraded to the new Chevron 1,000,000 mile antifreeze that does not require the SCA.
New Delco Remy alternator

The 90's upper end (Monaco, Country Coach, Beaver, Holiday Rambler, etc) motorhomes are known for the highest build quality, compared to the newer models, and especially those from 1994 to 98 when they came with the very best, most dependable, bullet proof engine/trans combination ever produced, the 'mechanical injected' 8.3 Cummins. Also 1998 and older diesel motorhomes require No Smog Inspection!
This motorhome tows my 4dr Jeep Wrangler almost like it is not even there
It is turn key and ready to go. The huge solar system will allow you to stay off grid indefinitely.

Over the 8+ years I have owned this motorhome I could not have been happier with it's performance and durability. Not one mechanical breakdown of any sort. Just minor things like all rv's experience. It fit my lifestyle perfectly. Winters in Arizona and summers in the mountains of NorCal. My failing eyesight and other health issues requires me to let it go

Now the negatives:
The paint is faded but not peeling, just dull and worn.

On the passenger side the windshield has a crack above eye level.

Before I purchased this motorhome in 2018, the previous owner had a water leak around the skylight over the shower. The leak was quickly repaired but the foam padding in the headliner in that area was damaged.

The first thing that I did after I drove the motorhome home was to spend 2 full weeks on the roof removing ALL old caulking and tape and completely resealing the entire roof with the best products available (Parbond sealant, Sikaflex urethane caulking and Eternabond tape). BTW the roofs of Holiday Rambler motorhomes of this era are made of aircraft grade aluminum, not rubber or any of the other synthetic materials like on most of the newer, lower quality, RV's.

Also NO holes were drilled in the roof for the mounting of the solar panels! They are all mounted with ABS mounting brackets, designed for RV solar panels, adhered to the roof with Sikaflex adhesive and for an added degree of insurance (although unnecessary), Eternabond tape.

9/17/26 I will be purchasing 2 new chassis batteries before it leaves for it's new home
