The 2014 Winnebago Journey 36M brings together luxury diesel-pusher comfort, strong road manners, and an exceptionally livable floorplan in a coach measuring just over 37 feet. Built on the Freightliner Maxum lowered-rail chassis, the Journey is powered by a 360-horsepower Cummins ISB XT 6.7L turbo-diesel paired with an Allison 3000 MH 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 36M is highlighted by a spacious triple-slide layout that includes a full-wall slide, opening the coach into an impressive living and entertaining space. Two Ultraleather sofas provide generous seating, while the Glide and Dine dining table with buffet and pull-out galley island make excellent use of the available room. Corian solid-surface countertops, porcelain tile flooring, MCD solar/blackout shades, and premium cabinetry give the interior the upscale finish expected from the Journey line.

The galley offers plenty of workspace with its pull-out island and includes a four-door refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, microwave/convection oven, three-burner cooktop, and extensive storage. A private rear bedroom features a queen bed, wardrobe storage, and its own 32-inch HDTV, with washer/dryer prep available for extended travel.

Underneath, the Freightliner Maxum chassis uses a lowered-rail design to provide excellent basement storage while maintaining a low center of gravity. Air suspension, air brakes with ABS, an engine exhaust brake, automatic hydraulic leveling, and a 10,000-lb. trailer hitch add to the Journey’s touring capability.

An 8,000-watt Cummins Onan Quiet Diesel generator with automatic generator start, 2,000-watt inverter/charger, powered patio awning, 183 cubic feet of exterior storage, and Winnebago’s SuperStructure construction round out a diesel coach built for comfortable long-distance and extended-stay travel.
