Description

With two kids in high school our 2018 Winnebago ERA 170X is not getting out much, and so it's time for her to find a new home. If this ad is on RV Trader then the coach is still available.

The facts:

1. This is the four captains chairs and rear bench seat/bed floorplan. There are seat belts for seven including five shoulder belts. The rear bed sleeps two comfortably. We put the kids in a tent and keep the ERA for mom & dad.

2. The chassis is a Mercedes Sprinter with a true 4X4 transmission (not AWD) so you can use the 4X4 when you need it and get amazing gas mileage when you don't. Fuel is diesel. The engine does require DEF, which is inexpensive, easy to find (Costco, Home Depot, Walmart), and has a reasonable consumption rate.

3.You can find the OEM specs online. The summary is as follows: Class B van on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Standard equipment includes propane cooktop, microwave refrigerator, bathroom, shower, AC & heat, and rear AV head unit & TV with indoor/outdoor speakers. Solar is installed and is so efficient that it will run the fridge effortlessly if you have sunny days, which means that you can roll down the highway and stop for lunch wherever you like with cold drinks and safe food with an automatic awning that creates a nice shady spot if needed. If you want to eat inside, there are two table set-ups, one in front, one in back.

4.There are two batteries, one for the chassis and one for the house. There are two battery disconnects, one for each battery, so storage between trips is not a risk to your batteries. There is also a diesel generator with low hours.

5.You can tow using the rear hitch (5,000 lbs rating).

6.The OEM head unit has navigation, a rear camera (that you can leave on when towing if you choose), and a Mobile Eye alert system (proximity to vehicle in front, lane departure, speed).

7.All systems are operable and perform as expected.

What doesn't work:

1.There is one cantilever window that has a very sticky crank and that we have taped shut.

2.The awning housing tends to hang up when the awning is extending, which is easily remedied by using a flat head screwdriver to pop the housing free.

3.That's it. The coach has been well taken care of.

Other things that are good to know:

1.New tires Q4 2024. The tread is still in like-new condition.
2.New chassis battery Q1 2025.
3.New rear AV head unit & TV Q3 2026.
4.We are the second owner.
5.In addition to the OEM spec this coach has aftermarket heated holding tanks for use in cold weather.
8.Also included are: a massive hitch box that holds an insane amount of stuff, wheel covers, a sun shade for the windshield, 30 amp shore power cable, 50 amp adapter, 120kv adapter, leveling blocks, and chocks.
9.We have all the original manuals for the chassis and operating systems.
