My wife and I have decided to sell our beloved Grand Design Solitude S Class 40' 5th wheel. We purchased it in January 2020. It has been a real joy to take my wife's father who is 97 with us. We camp with a fair-weather camping group and only travel short distances for 4 days at a time - normally 4 times per year. We also take our grandkids - usually twice a year to a local campground. We have gotten a lot older, and it has just become too hard on us to do it anymore.

I believe the FIRST serious buyer that will look at this RV will buy it. You will find it to be immaculate.

SOME OF THE THINGS I'VE DONE that you will not find in any other Grand Design 5th wheel.

I built a table section that extends the dining seating from 4 to 8. The extra space is great for playing Mexican train or UNO with the grandkids or using the extra space as an office or hobby table. There are 4 extra chairs stored under the master bed. See photo
I've installed a heavy-duty cord reel to the ceiling of the storage belly to make it easy to roll the heavy 50-amp cable in or out.
I installed a 5-camera high-definition camera system with a monitor that fits your coffee holder in your pickup. The cameras can zoom in if needed. Pretty amazing
I installed a live leveling meter that displays on your iPhone the exact leveling needs of the trailer wheels as you back in or pull though. I found this to be very helpful.
4 new tires from Discount Tire were installed September 2025.
It has 2 flood LED lights at the entrance and near the front that can change from bright white to yellow bug mode by turning switch off then back on.
We upgraded the roof vent in the bunk house with remote control and auto close in case of rain
Brand new electric recliner seating with 8-point heat and/or massage. Very upscale
Dish receiver with Winegard mobile satellite antenna. The thing that attracted us was their pay as you go program. You only pay one month at a time. There is also an amplified local antenna system.
The best for last. It comes with CORNER STONE UNITED Extended Service Contract which doesn't expire until Jan 2027.
It has never been smoked in or had any meat cooked inside such has bacon, sausage, etc.

OTHER NICE THINGS
It has a RV King mattress 70" by 80" which is definitely better for sleeping
There are two entrances - one main entrance on the side and one rear complete with it's own set of stairs.
It is equipped with a full-size residential refrigerator that runs on 12 volts while traveling
The bunk house sleeps 6 grandkids. or one grandpa. It has a large pantry and washer dryer hook ups.
Has a large-size convection microwave oven.
