Description
This 2019 Boreas MXT is a true four-season, off-road overland trailer built for getting well beyond established campgrounds without giving up comfort. At approximately 1,950 pounds dry, it is compact and easy to manage while still offering a queen-size sleeping area, heat, hot water, refrigeration, solar power, and a capable outdoor kitchen. The front cargo platform can also carry a dirt bike or motorcycle weighing up to 400 pounds.
-
The Boreas MXT is built on a heavy-duty CNC-cut steel frame with Timbren 3,500-pound HD axle-less independent suspension, a 4-inch lift, BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, electric trailer brakes, and a Lock N Roll articulating hitch. The insulated composite and aluminum cabin is designed for year-round use and includes a Propex forced-air furnace, MaxxAir roof fan, custom memory-foam queen mattress, onboard water system, instant hot-water shower, interior lighting, and plenty of organized storage.
-
This trailer has also received several significant upgrades that make it more capable and comfortable than a standard Boreas MXT:
ICECO VL60 Pro S dual-zone refrigerator/freezer
200Ah LiTime lithium battery system
Renogy 500A battery monitor
Renogy flexible 100-watt solar panel
Partner Steel 18-inch two-burner stove with windscreen
Taruca Extreme 180-degree awning
Dexter Nev-R-Adjust 12-inch electric brake components
Dexter 12-inch hub and drum components for the E-Z Lube axle system
-
The upgraded running-gear components were installed in July 2025 and have only been used on one camping trip since installation.
-
With a 3,500-pound GVWR, 20-gallon onboard water tank with skid protection, independent suspension, excellent ground clearance, articulating hitch, front motorcycle platform, lithium power system, solar charging, furnace, hot shower, and full outdoor kitchen, this trailer is ready for everything from weekend trips to extended off-grid camping.
-
This is not a basic pavement-only teardrop. It is a purpose-built overland trailer with the equipment needed to comfortably explore remote areas while remaining small enough to store, tow, and maneuver easily. It is set up and ready to camp without the buyer needing to immediately invest in batteries, refrigeration, cooking equipment, solar, or an upgraded awning.
