Up for sale an exceptionally , well preserved, highly original 1985 VW Westfalia full camper. This van is the ultimate turn-key classic driver, combining a documented engine replacement with highly desirable 4-speed manual transmission. Purchased in 1994 with 80,000 miles as second owner.
A brand new 1.9L engine assembly was installed at 203,000 miles in 2018, $4000.00 in parts alone.
Complete coolant hose and piping kit, new clutch kit, new engine coolant and temperature sensors, distributor cap, distributor rotor, spark plug wire set, spark plugs, and air filter were installed at the time of swap.
Fresh oil and filter completed last week.
Since the major engine rebuild, this vehicle has been used strictly for infrequent 10 mile round trips to town and back. It has not been subjected to harsh stop and go city traffic, heavy mountain climbing, or stressful road trips. This van has not been camped or cooked in for over 10 years.

Straight exterior and clean canvas pop top. The white body panels are remarkably straight with beautiful factory lines and no major dents or clear coat failure. Very minor dent in rear left hand quarter. Bumpers have some dents and rubber cracks.
Minimal seam rust. Features exceptionally clean lower body panels with only very minor, typical surface aging on select seams. Absolutely no deep or structural rust.
The fiberglass pop-top roof is clean, and the tan canvas tent is tight, clean and free of sagging or mildew stains, with perfectly intact window screens.
