Description

This is a link to a video, from the manufacturer, created using this exact 2017 COACH HOUSE PLATINUM IV 261 XLQD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMhtiJYozrQ

Our 2017 COACH HOUSE PLATINUM IV is a Class-C or Class-B+, couple's coach, motorhome known for its quality construction and luxurious amenities. It is garage kept and well maintained with detailed records showing routine oil and transmission fluid changes to recently installed Michelin Crossclimate2 tires and Bilstein 4600 shocks. With under 66,500 miles this RV has plenty of adventures left to offer its new owner. The 261 XLQD trim is one of the PLATINUM IV models. We chose the 261 XLQD trim for its very large counter space, dry bath and living area. The queen sized bed folds away nicely in the couch when not in use. Having a convertable sleeping area gives so much more room to the kitchen, bath and living areas.

The spacious and well-appointed interior was perfect for extended road trips or weekend getaways. We used it primarily to visit our daughter while she attended college. It simply worked out very well. When in route, the floor plan made it convenient to stop along the way and eat a meal in the RV without extending the slide. Even with the slide in there was plenty of room in the coach with full access to all the appliances, dinette and bathroom. The HWH leveling system made the setup easy in our sites once we arrived at our destination. The hydraulic slide worked flawlessly. Another feature that we grew to love was the engine heat exchanger that warmed the water in the water heater as we drove to our location. It was great having hot water when we arrived without waiting for the electric heater to warm the water.

In addition to visiting our daughter, we took some trips to national parks. A few things that we appreciated on these trips with our COACH HOUSE was the upgraded Victron Multiplus 3000VA inverter with 300 AH of lithium batteries, the internal plumbing of all the water lines and the overall size of the RV. It was sized just right to fit into the most secluded sites and had enough power to run the microwave, coffee maker, toaster or other appliances without the need to start the onboard Onan QG 4000 generator. That said, it was an added comfort knowing we had the generator, but the 200W solar panel did a decent job of charging the batteries while we were away hiking or looking around. With the refrigerator running on propane, the 12-V electrical system pulls very little power. Finally, the internal plumbing took away any concerns with freezing pipes when temperatures dipped. It was nice to enjoy the trip and not worry about this that or the other thing with the RV. It all worked as designed.

All those reasons made this RV work well for our trips, however; what originally interested us in a COACH HOUSE RV was the one piece fiberglass body and the 14,500 lbs GVRW of the Ford E-450 chassis. We thought it looked nice, rode quieter and was immune to the water leaks and the loading restrictions that we read about with other brands. Two upgrades that set apart this COACH HOUSE from other COACH HOUSE RVs are the deluxe paint and the Dynamat sound deadening insulation installed under the carpeted floorboard, in the center console and in both door panels (please see attached photos). COACH HOUSE has been known for excellence and ours lived up to that reputation with its superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.

If you're hitting the open road or enjoying a relaxing stay visiting family, this COACH HOUSE PLATINUM IV 261 XLQD has everything you need to make your journey memorable. From the fully-equipped kitchen to the stylish bathroom, every inch of this motorhome is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.
