Description
2012 Fleetwood Discovery 40G
This 2012 Fleetwood Discovery 40G motorcoach is outfitted with a forward lounge area, a sofa bed and bunk beds, a galley, a dinette, a bathroom, and a rear bedroom converted into an office workspace. Slide-outs are located on each side, and amenities consist of an Onan generator, a curb-side awning, a residential-style refrigerator, a combination washer and dryer, an outdoor entertainment center, and four flatscreen TVs. Finished in gold with multi-tone stripes, the motorcoach is powered by a Cummins ISC 8.3-liter turbodiesel inline-six linked with an Allison six-speed automatic transmission and a dually rear axle. Work under the previous ownership has involved installing an entry railing, servicing the slides-outs, and replacing the TVs, house and chassis batteries, exterior camera display, side-view cameras, and two leveling jacks. Service records, owners manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title are ready to go.
The body is finished in gold with multi-tone graphics. A Weather Pro power-operated patio awning with wind detection is positioned on the curb side, and other equipment includes double slide-outs with toppers, equipment bays, a power-operated boarding step, an entry railing, and a receiver hitch. An outdoor entertainment center on the right side is outfitted with a Samsung flatscreen TV and a Sony CD stereo. Work in 2021 involved lubricating the slide-outs, resealing the right slide-out, and repairing a windshield leak. In 2022, the roof and front cap were resealed, and the right-side mirror and the drivers side window were replaced. The remote door lock key fobs were replaced and the entry door awning and the right-side slide-out topper were repaired in 2023. The roof was re-decked and re-sealed in 2025. Exterior scratches are noted, and close-up photos are presented in the gallery below.
The Freightliner XCM-series chassis is equipped with an auto-leveling system and hydraulic drum brakes. Alloy 22.5 wheels wear Freightliner-branded center caps, and the seller states that the tires should be replaced. An Onan 8kW diesel-fueled generator is housed in a dedicated compartment, and additional infrastructure equipment includes a rooftop solar panel, holding tanks, a 38-gallon propane tank, a 2,000-watt pure sine wave inverter, and utility connections for water, waste disposal, and 50-amp electrical service. Work in 2023 included replacing house and chassis batteries. Two of the hydraulic leveling jacks were replaced in 2024 along with the generator/utility power transfer switch and the tire pressure monitor batteries. An entry on an October 2024 service record notes that the right-rear inner tire pressure sensor is not working.
The living quarters feature an 84 ceiling height and are outfitted with porcelain tile floors, dimmable recessed lighting, storage cabinets, and privacy shades. The forward lounge area houses a sofa bed, a dinette with wraparound seating, and two Samsung flatscreen TVs. Bunk beds are located along the adjacent hallway.
The galley is equipped with composite countertops, an Atwood three-burner propane range, a microwave oven, a double-basin sink, and a residential-style refrigerator and freezer. House equipment includes ducted climate control, power-operated ceiling vents, water filtration, a 10-gallon water heater, and a central vacuum system. The center air conditioner was repaired in 2024.
The rear bedroom is outfitted with a Samsung flatscreen TV, a closet with mirrored sliding doors, and a king size bed. A stacked washer and dryer are housed in a dedicated compartment. The adjacent bathroom has an enclosed shower, a toilet, a toiletries cabinet, and a corner vanity with a sink.
The forward compartment houses reclining and swiveling captains chairs trimmed in beige upholstery with contrasting piping, and the drivers seat is power adjustable. A forward shade and wraparound privacy curtains are fitted, and other equipment includes high-mounted fans and a touchscreen head unit. The side-view cameras were replaced in 2021, while the dash-mounted display for the exterior cameras was replaced in 2023.
An accessory control panel is located on the drivers left, and instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 78,124.4k miles, approximately 3.5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 8.3-liter Cummins ISC turbodiesel inline-six was factory rated at 380 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. A coolant sensor was replaced in 2022, while the coolant overflow tank was replaced and in 2023. The oil was last changed in 2023.
The coach is equipped with a dually rear axle, and power is sent to the rear wheels through an Allison 3000-MH six-speed automatic transmission.
Owners manuals and service records will accompany the motorhome.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
