The trailer is built on a powder-coated tubular steel chassis, Azdel composite sidewalls, and a one-piece seamless fiberglass roof, providing durability and water resistance.
Rough Rider package:
Suspension Lift: It includes a 2.5-inch axle riser. This increases the trailer's overall height and provides extra clearance for navigating uneven terrain and steep driveways.
Off-Road Tires: The package upgrades the standard tires to 15-inch off-road tires. These tires typically feature a more aggressive tread pattern for better traction on gravel and dirt paths.
Specialized Wheels: The off-road tires are mounted on custom polished aluminum rims.
While it significantly improves ground clearance, manufacturer documentation explicitly states it is not designed for extreme off-road use or rock crawling.
Reviewers from RV Insider note that the combination of this lift and the standard 200W solar prep makes the Rough Rider variant highly suitable for several days of boondocking in national parks.
Because of the lift, the exterior height of a Max with this package is slightly taller than the standard 9' 9", which may affect garage or carport clearance.
