Description
2002 Roadtrek 190 Popular Rust Free Body - Workhorse
Well-loved and mechanically sound Roadtrek 190 on the Chevy 3500 chassis and workhorse engine.
This van is ready for its next chapter. While it has the common 'GM paint peel' typical for this era, the body is completely rust-free and the fiberglass coach is solid with no leaks. At 200,000 miles, it has been maintained with a 'reliability first' mindset.
Perfect for a DIYer who wants a rock-solid foundation at a fair price. The plumbing is solid and everything works fine there but this rig does also have the original ac, fridge, hot water heater, and everything else is original mechanically under the bed/booth seating.
All of that stuff works fine, but could use an upgrade. For instance, the refrigerator works fine plugged in but has a difficult clicker to get it going off of the propane. It will also need the exterior locks replaced on the storage panels underneath, as one is Frozen and others are difficult. Little cosmetic things like some curtain clips, etc will next some TLC. Windshield is cracked below eye site.
I took her into a very reliable shop in Des Moines called CHR, stands for cheap honest reliable, got an oil change and a full inspection. I've attached the receipt documentating a couple resonable affordable fixes needed in the future, but was also informed these aren't needed immediately.
She has 200,000 miles, mainly Highway. I believe I'm only the third owner and the first one to have it outside of Florida after I bought it in 2020.
I'm in central Iowa, but there is zero rust visible on the body and the primer underneath the paint delamination is in perfect shape.
The mechanic was also nice enough to video underneath the van, and stated that the rust seen is surface rust only.
***I can send you this video of underneath, but I can't figure out how to upload it.
Tires are 1-year-old and near New.
Anyone seriously interested can do a Facebook Messenger video call or zoom, etc with me to get an in-depth tour.
After her inspection, I feel 11.5 k is a great price for both buyer and seller.
