Description

Very clean and well-maintained Jayco Redhawk SE (MFG Date 11/2018) Class C motorhome on Chevy gasoline chassis. I am the second owner and purchased this unit a little less than 2 years ago. I flat-towed my 2017 Jeep Wrangler, which I am also willing to sell, along with the towing and braking system I bought and had installed by Camping World. I LOVE this camper, and it has brought me wonderful memories, but due to a change in my wife's career plans, it's not getting used enough to justify owning it.
This unit runs strong and is road-trip ready.

This RV has several upgrades worth mentioning, including one-button hydraulic leveling and a solar charging system with a power inverter to run small electrical items without running the generator. I chose this unit because of the Chevy platform, with impressive one-touch tow mode, it tows like there's nothing behind you (even in the Rocky Mountains), and it offers a quieter ride and more legroom than other Ford-based units I tried. I've also redone the striping on the RV to match my Jeep, with pigmented stripes rather than printed ones. They will last for 10-20 years without fading. I left the rear of the RV unmarked on purpose. I own a sign company and plan on letting the new owner choose how they would like to customize the rear of the unit. I just had the awning replaced. My wife and I had Camping World install new sectional seating last year with two recliners featuring massage, heat, and lumbar support. One of my favorite things about this RV is the roof-mounted AC, which is very quiet compared to my previous camper. The previous owners had a bushwacker grill guard installed for protection in case you hit a deer. I also put a new smart TV in last year.

Maintenance and Service: When I purchased this RV 2 years ago from the original owners, I had Camping World go through the entire unit, top to bottom. I serviced the generator and propane system. I had the roof resealed. I had the black tank and tank heaters replaced. I had the AC blower motor replaced. I replaced the RV batteries and engine battery, and I bought 7 Michelin tires (including a full-size spare). Last summer, we had to have Camping World replace the toilet valve. I've always had the engine serviced routinely and haven't had to have anything done mechanically other than replace the thermostat. I would hook up my Jeep and tow it to California and back without any hesitation.

Things less than perfect: Two items need to be mentioned. First, last year, I discovered that a branch had poked a hole in the roof about the size of a pencil. I took it to a local RV repair tech, who repaired the hole and confirmed that, although there is a small soft area, there are no leaks and no need for extensive roof repair or replacement. I can provide the documentation and contact info for the repair center. The second item is that the factory rear camera is no longer working. If you're not towing, this isn't a huge deal. But since I always tow my Jeep, I tried to have this repaired, unsuccessfully. So I bought an aftermarket dual camera system and had a cigarette lighter installed to power the dash screen.

What I love about this RV: Auto-leveling...not just stabilizing...it can lift the tires completely off the ground. It tows effortlessly at 70 mph and gets between 6-7 mpg while towing. The windows are tinted, making it easier to keep cool. The AC is vented throughout the unit, making it efficient and quiet. Two electric recliners for relaxing and watching TV. The over-the-cab sleeping area is perfect for stowing ALL my fishing gear and more. A full queen-size bed. The driver 's-side slide makes this small unit feel so roomy. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to fully hook up. The generator runs off the same gasoline as the engine. The refrigerator/freezer, heat, and cooktop run on propane, making boondocking possible. The solar panel not only trickle-charges the batteries, but the inverter also lets me charge my phone and laptop without turning on the generator. There is so much storage, both inside and outside the RV.

I'm also selling my 2-door 2017 Jeep Wrangler with approximately 60,000 miles. It was set up by Camping World for flat towing and also has a brake box permanently installed under the hood. The towing system and brake box were around $5000 total installed. My asking price for the Jeep is $23,000. I am the second owner and have owned it for about 5 years. It has never been wrecked and is in great condition. This is the best vehicle I've ever owned, and I hate parting with it, but I've decided to get a Gladiator. If you're looking for a vehicle to tow behind a motorhome, this is a great option as it is already set up for flat towing. I will consider a package price offer from someone wanting both the motorhome and the Jeep. I have a clear title for the Jeep as well.
