Description
2016 Jayco Alante 26
There are many expensive extras and everything works great.
This is a Class A motorhome, 27 feet 4 inches long, with two slides.
It is in excellent condition, with no smoking, hail or accidents, and I have a clean Kansas title.
Here are just a few of the key valuable advantages of my 2016 Jayco Alante.
That you likely won't find elsewhere:
$3,000 worth of new tires with only 1,700 miles on them.
$4,000 worth of steering stabilizers and suspension enhancements for a safer and smoother ride.
$3,700 high-end Rec Pro captain's chairs.
There are 40,000 miles and 3 years remaining on the full coverage extended warranty.
I paid around $4,500 for it last year.
I did not include this warranty in my price in case the new owner does not want it.
Also, since I haven't used it in the last year, I can get a prorated refund at anytime.
To keep the warranty valid, I changed the rear-end differential fluid, radiator coolant, transmission fluid, and Onan generator oil.
39k miles, for a 2016 model is below average.
New battery on the coach, two new house batteries are connected to solar.
Brake buddy system for towing installed (never used), the alignment was just done, and the tires were balanced.
A unique advantage of this 2016 Jayco 26Y model is its extremely short 158" wheelbase.
This gives it a wheelbase similar to that of a UPS truck used for your deliveries.
You can easily drive it around the city to get anywhere, which I really loved having this ability to do this.
Also, this model is 27 feet 4 inches long and features a great interior layout with a huge living room and ample seating options
Therefore, this compact model, with a short wheelbase, allows easy driving access to any location especially in cities.
However, this still allows for a huge living space with plenty of seating and living space as shown in my photos.
The only slight drawback to the shorter wheelbase of course is that I drive a little slower on the interstate than those with huge, longer motorhomes.
This does not bother me, as driving a motorhome slower on the highway is safer and yields better fuel mileage.
To offset this shorter wheelbase, I also purchased steering stabilizers and suspension enhancements which definitely help out tremendously.
Another huge advantage of this 26Y floorplan is you can use the entire camper extremely well with both slides in.
For example, if you ever don't want to put the slides out while taking a break driving and wanting to take a quick nap for example.
Because of the huge living room slide and open space in the middle.
You have plenty of room to operate comfortably with the slide in and plenty of space to use the kitchen, fridge, shower, bathroom, etc.
The bedroom works fine also without the slide being out, but you just can't use the bottom two rows of bedroom dresser draws is all.
I completely buffed, polished, and waxed the motorhome last summer.
The original owner removed the Jayco decals, which I don't mind at all since this color hides dirt extremely well and it gives it a clean look.
New decals can be purchased for around $400, but I preferred to keep it looking this way.
Why I personally prefer a Class A over a Class C even though Class A RV's cost slightly more.
I personally love the Class A over a Class C because of the large front window and a few other features.
The Class A provides a huge awesome panoramic view compared to a Class C.
Driving feels safer because you have better visibility and sit higher, allowing you to see more of the road ahead.
Sitting higher and closer to the front allows for a better "commanding" view of traffic, which helps with navigation and safety.
The overhead bunk area in these Class A RVs is positioned much higher than in a Class C.
This allows you much better headroom while sitting in the captain's chairs and more living room space when you turn the seats around.
Also, driving a Class A is safer due to its heavier chassis, large front windshield, and higher seating position.
Also, you have more storage below because a Class A is taller than a Class C allowing for the storage below to be much larger.
I included all these details so the future owner knows everything beforehand.
Also, it makes no sense, not to tell someone everything, especially regarding a large investment like this.
Especially if they are spending their valuable time, gas money, etc., to drive and see it.
PLEASE DO NOT message me if you have any questions.
Rather, please just call me anytime, if you want to see it or have any questions.
Thank you in advance!

You can call anytime early or late since I turn my phone off at night anyway.
I am selling this for $38,000, since that is my bottom dollar price.
I am pricing it at my bottom dollar ahead of time, especially since I usually get asked that anyway ;)
Also, I feel this is an excellent price because of its:
Incredible condition, with thousands of dollars in extra enhancements, excellent tires, seating options, warranty option, etc.
Why am I selling my 2016 Jayco Alante?
I purchased this in January 2025 for use at the farm when I stayed there to work and didn't want to drive back to town at night.
However, the family has decided to sell the farm and I have a house to live in Hays.
Therefore, I am selling this because we won't have the farm anymore.
So I don't need it anymore since I only stayed in it occasionally anyway.
I'll soon post another similar extremely nice class A motorhome that our family purchased recently from a friend..
It is a 2019 Jayco Precept 33U - 36 foot Class A.
We are also selling it because the family decided not to keep it due to some family health issues, the farm being sold, etc.
The 2019 Jayco Precept 33U is in excellent shape, has only 8,500 miles, and has been stored inside its entire life.
I will post it soon and we plan on selling it for around $68,000.
It also has the extended warranty like my Jayco Alante above, which has four years remaining and 40,000 miles.
However, I excluded the warranty from the price in case someone doesn't want it.
Then our family can still get a prorated refund since we never used it yet.
Why do I believe a warranty on a motorhome is crucial?
RV repair facilities typically charge more per hour than auto mechanics.
For example, the Jayco dealer in Great Bend, KS, charged $190/hour, and Camping World in KC charges $200/hour.
Since this is a motorhome with the engine, transmission, and RV all integrated, this is a no-brainer to me.
However, if someone doesn't want the extended warranty, that's perfectly fine with me.
I hope all the details help explain my motorhome to you.
Again, please do not message me with any questions.
Rather, please just call me anytime on my cell listed above.
Thank you!
