2021 Freedom 5x8 Custom Lightweight Camper Trailer Sleeps 4 Brakes Minivan Towable Insulated Very Light Use

Selling our one-of-a-kind custom-built 2021 Freedom 5x8 camping trailer. This was not a random cargo trailer conversion we had it designed and built specifically to solve a hard problem: we wanted a real hard-sided camper that was light enough to tow comfortably with our Toyota Sienna minivan, small enough to store and maneuver easily, but still able to sleep a family of four.

It is compact, simple, comfortable, and surprisingly capable. It has the footprint of a small enclosed trailer, but it is set up as a family micro-camper with insulated walls and ceiling, sliding windows, an RV-style rear door with screen, a roof fan, interior lighting, a real mattress, upper sleeping space, and most importantly trailer brakes with a breakaway system. Brakes are a rare and major advantage on a lightweight trailer like this and make towing feel much more controlled and confidence-inspiring.

This trailer always turns heads because it is so unusual: small, clean, practical, and purpose-built. It is great for a family that wants to move beyond tent camping without buying a full-size RV, or for someone who wants a lightweight hard-sided camper that can still be used as a versatile enclosed trailer.
