Description
Our Pleasure-Way Plateau TS was previously owned by a gentleman who worked for Pleasure-Way and put about 138,000 miles on it traveling around the upper Midwest showing off their product. He apparently didn't boondock much as the Onan generator just has 83 hours on it (it runs great). Since our purchase in 2020, we've put almost 38,000 miles on our RV as we love traveling West. Our Plateau was thoroughly gone over at a Mercedes Benz dealership when we purchased it, and over the years we've taken steps to extend its useful life given Sprinter 2500s with the 3.0L Turbo Diesel V6 can last well over 300,000 miles. Built using the 2007 Dodge (Mercedes Benz) Sprinter 2500, this model uses a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and does not require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) like later models. Smoke and pet free. Thorough maintenance records can be provided for all work since 2020. The larger items that we've covered over the last few years include:
Alternator,
Turbo silencer and all hardware,
Throttle valve seals and hardware,
Glow plugs,
Passenger side charge air pipe,
Left and right rear axles (left needed, replaced right at the same time),
DPF and hardware (broken flex pipe)
Features: Cherry cabinetry offering generous storage. Corian counter top. Soft ultra-leather seating surfaces. Seat belts for 5 passengers. Electric rear sofa converts to queen or two-twin beds. Wet bath and outdoor shower. The 12-gallon LP tank makes boondocking easy supplying the furnace, water heater, refrigerator, and 2-burner LP stove. When AC shore power is not available, the Onan 2.5 Microlite Generator (2,500 Watts), with a remote start/stop switch inside the cabin, supplies power for the TV, roof air conditioner, microwave, refrigerator (if not on propane), AC outlets inside and out, and 40-amp converter for charging the deep cycle battery. The TV can also be plugged into an inverter behind the TV to run off the battery while boondocking or driving. TV sound system. Winegard amplifier for cable/antenna. 20 gal fresh tank, 25 gal grey tank, and 10 gal black tank. LP, CO, and smoke detectors. Eleven foot awning for those sunny days.
Notes: One of the pictures has the complete build sheet with options listed. A picture is included that shows the left rear top of the RV that was damaged before our purchase (backing accident I suppose). The RV Trader seller tool required a "trim" be chosen but only offered choices of "24" or "3500", so "24" was chosen which is its approximate length.
