Description

This 1974 Condor II was built on a Ford chassis and has the extremely rare 4x4 drivetrain. The odometer reads 66,383 miles. It was purchased new in 1974 by my father-in-law and was used to travel in the winter with his family from California to skiing destinations across the West. In the summers they made cross country trips from Florida to New England and even to Alaska where they kept driving until the road ended. It has a Ford 390 engine that runs on gasoline but it was also configured to run on propane with the turn of a lever with four additional propane tanks mounted behind the rear axle. The original transmission was replaced with a more robust Allison transmission. It is currently registered as non-op to save on DMV fees. It also has the original Onan gas powered generator. It has been stored in an enclosed large metal shop building for maybe 30 years and has not been started in that time. It will need a thorough mechanical refresh as well as new tires (the left front tire does not hold air). The right front passenger slide window was broken while in storage and will need to be replaced. The interior shows some wear and tear and could be updated. The front is made of steel, the battery tray on the side is steel otherwise sides are aluminum and the top and back are fiberglass. There are a few areas on the sides that have some corrosion. We are looking for someone who has a desire to fix up this classic and rare motorhome.
