Description
I love this RV. I spent 3.5 living in this RV off grid. It has 900w of solar on the roof, and all Victron solar setup. The solar is easily accessible (you could cover it up by I chose not to) and the batteries are hidden beneath a seat where there was originally a small drawer. The batteries are 300amp hours 12v each, making 600amp hours at 12 volts. I didn't need to replace the batteries, but I chose to when I saw a good deal this year on the same batteries I had been using, so the batteries are all but brand new.
All solar properties can be accessed via bluetooth on your phone, so you'll always know how much power you have. I will help set up everything so you are good to go.
The reason I am selling is that I have moved to downtown Brooklyn and can no longer use my RV, as it's too far away, and I don't want to pay to store it. It has been in storage since February.
I have gotten it detailed, as well as fixing a cracked pipe, and some other wear and tear things.
There are some bumps and bruises on this RV, but it is all in all in extremely good condition. I thought it was my forever home, so I took liberty with stickers, and paint, but that shouldn't be a deterent for someone who wants a really good deal on an RV home.
The back of the RV is a queen sized bed. The mattress is in California, and I can order it, or you can order a new one.
The couch also becomes a bed. This means this RV could sleep 5-6 people, without much issue.
I've installed racks in the back as well.
The TV has been upgraded, and mounted, so you have a great screen (not the cheap one it came with)
I mostly slept up into the upper sleep cabin, but I layed down foam and waterproof, (ie sweat proof), cusion cover so that it would always stay in good condition and the bedding wouldn't need to be replaced.
This RV can operate off grid for a long time.
You can charge the 600amp hour batteries in five ways.
#1, solar, the best and most reliable way. This happens automatically each day when the sun comes up, if you haven't shut the system down for storage.
#2, plug in at any RV place lot/reservation, etc,
#3 Use an extension cord, and and converter, to plug in at a house.
#4 it recharges while driving using Victron Orion 12v unit.
#5 Run the generator, and run a cord from the generator output to the charging input station.
With this amount of versatility you could find yourself off grid for long periods of time, only having to return for water. Find yourself a Berkey water filter system, and you are off grid unlimited.
You may notice there is a door in the back. this is essential - 95% of the 24 footers don't have this. A door in the back allows you to set up a cross breeze on hot day days off grid. It also makes loading and unloading a breeze. I unloaded bikes daily from here - this would not have been possible with most other RVs. I am leaving my bike rack as well, which holds two bikes.
Instead of a ladder to get into the cab, I used a stool - so I can leave the stool with the RV, it fits comfortablly and folds behind the driver's seat. Ladders can be cumbersome in a small space.
I want to say that there are many things you don't consider that don't really work long term in an RV - and that this one being lived, planed, and built to spec, makes it a grade above many other rides, especially if you are considering an off grid lifestyle.
Even if you just want to go into a town, and not bother with finding a doc - you can park somewhere off grid. The batteries are so good, they will last days even in the rain and clouds.
I really can not say enough about this - other than I will miss it greatly. I am even leaving my ladder, which is useful for getting on the roof if you want to fix something, or clean off the solar (cleaning and dusting solar panels is not really that beneficiail, but sometimes it helps for piece of mind)
