Description
This is a great camper for couples. It is in great shape and has been taken care of meticulously. We are the second owners and have added lots of upgrades. It has one slide out, the box is 25 feet, it weighs about 5200 pounds dry weight. This camper can be towed with a half ton truck, when properly equipped. The dinette folds down to a bed that can easily fit one adult, or two small children.
When the slide is in, you still have EASY access to the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen areas through the 'back door'. Through the 'front' door you can still sit in one of the recliners. So you pretty much can get to just about anything you would need, even with the slide in. Which is great if you have to make a quick overnight, stay on a longer journey.
This camper has TONS of storage. In the bedroom, you can walk around the bed. It is a residential size queen mattress.
Stabilizer jacks are manual.
Upgrades: (thousands of dollars)
*MaxxAir Fan with remote control and cover in the bedroom. (~$250)
*Thomas Payne Seismic recliners and console with heat, massage, fully electric, and charging ports. ($1200)
*Remote keypad for door entry lock (~$200)
*New electric tongue jack, quiet and fast! (~$190)
*Upgraded seat cushions for the dinette (~$250)
*Better fan in the bathroom (~$100)
*Upgraded shower head with stop button
*Nice swing arm towel rack
*Pull out metal shelves for pantry ($250-well worth every penny)
*New tires last year ($1100)
*Residential size queen mattress (brand new, never used. Came from Camping World)
*We replaced the accordion door with a sliding door and latch (This works SO MUCH BETTER than the accordion door)
*new leaf springs and hardware (~$500)
*screen door protector (~$70)
Items not included:
bike rack
level ProMate
There are not any leaks. No weird smells. No one has smoked in it. We did have dogs. Everything works mechanically as far as we know. A/C and heat work great. Hot water heater works great. The MaxAir fan above the bed is quiet and the remote control makes it easy to operate while resting in bed.
The only possible issue would be a motor replacement on the awning. It currently works, but sometimes you have to rock the switch back-and-forth. If we were keeping the camper for ourselves, we would just replace the motor, it's about $400. But for now, it does work.
We have already purchased our replacement camper(bigger) and we are motivated to sell this one. But, that does not mean we will take low ball offers. This is a NICE camper and will be a great camper for the right people. Most of the upgrades were things we added to increase comfort and maximize space. The pantry is HUGE for a camper this size and the metal pull out drawers truly are a game changer (those alone were a few hundred dollars in materials). We did the work, now you can simply ENJOY.
It is currently at a storage facility. We can hook it up to power for serious buyers.
*We did have a slide topper over the slide out, but in a recent rain storm it came unwound due to puddles of rain weighing it down. It is possible to fix it, but we are not going to do that since we are not keeping it. The hardware is still there if you want to order a replacement roll. Slide toppers are not a necessity, reviews go back and forth on their usefulness. Without a slide topper you just need to brush off the top of the slide before retracting it. With one, you may run into the same issue we did with water collecting on it and causing it to unravel.*
