The Tiffin Motorhomes Phaeton 36 QSH is a 36ft, luxurious Class A motorhome that exudes style and sophistication. Sold new in the 2010 model year, built on a Freightliner Custom RV Chassis with a Cummins I6 Diesel Pusher engine, this Tiffin is one model year prior to the Blue DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems required with all diesel engines beginning in 2011. These DEF systems have had numerous problems in the years since that you will avoid having to deal with. This well-kept Class A Motorhome has just 60,618 miles on the odometer, which is just break in mileage for most diesel engines. Since the engine is in the back of the motorhome there is very little engine noise for the driver and passengers, unlike the gasoline powered, Ford Chassis V10 engine alternative to DEF system equipped diesel engines since 2011.

The exterior of this Tiffin Phaeton is in very good condition. The interior is where this motorhome truly shines, boasting lots of cabinets and storage with high-end finishes throughout. One negative issue waiting to be resolved is the pealing of the faux leather surface on both sofas (see photos in the gallery). This is apparently an RV industry wide problem in many brands and models and which I also experienced in another brand of RV I previously owned.

Aside from regular preventive maintenance, the following upgrades or replacements have been carried out:

As you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious living area complete with plush seating, a slide out large dining table with two chairs and two matching folding chairs under the sofa, and plenty of storage including two office drawers and file drawer on one side of the dinning table. On the other side of the dinning table are slide out trays for a computer and keyboard. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern appliances you need to whip up delicious meals while on the go. This including a large propane or AC electric four door refrigerator/freezer, three burner propane stove, and microwave/convection oven. There is also an additional slide out with three drawers for additional counter space.

The bedroom in the Tiffin Phaeton is a true oasis, featuring a comfortable Sleep Number queen-sized bed, ample storage space, and with a sink and vanity in the corner of the bedroom. The bathroom is split with a shower with seat on one side of the hall which can be closed off with sliding doors. The toilet is in a separate room with its own door across the hall from the shower and includes drawers and cabinets and sink. With plenty of room to relax and unwind, you will feel right at home in this luxurious motorhome. This motorhome was our full-time home for six months of this past year.
