Description
2024 Nexus Rebel 35R w/ LiquidSpring Suspension
19k mi
Our well-loved Rebel is ready for a new family. We have done many fixes and modifications to this rig to make it suitable for long term exploration and adventures. If you're looking for an off-grid rig that's ready to go, this is it! First-year new owner problems: not here! We've fixed them all!
The upgraded (bigger!) wheels and tires may be the most obvious change. This increased our ground clearance by 3" allowing further off-highway travels and a more comfortable ride. It also removed the capacity worry as they can handle way more than this rig is rated for (and not right at the limit like the standard setup). Way safer for family!
We had Liquid Spring Smart Suspension optioned straight from the factory. This hydraulic suspension provides a significantly better ride, load leveling, and serious stability. The leveling allows us to drop the rear of the rig at a campsite that's off-camber instead of lifting the front wheels (potentially) off the ground. You can also raise the rig quite a few inches; helpful for off-highway (are you sensing a theme yet?), steep driveways, and ferries.
Next up, the power system: 1800W of solar, 1200Ah of batteries, and a 3000w inverter. Run the air conditioning, bake your cookies in the convection microwave, or work full-time all day without worrying about running out of power. If somehow you do, there's still an (upgraded) 8kW diesel generator. It's wired up to an automatic transfer switch and there's an auto-start that's pre-programmed into the Victron system. There's about 80 hours on the generator (and the first oil change has already been done).
We've done many creature comfort updates. too many to list. Some include new (better) vent fans, additional heating ducts, air conditioning silencers, accurate tank monitors, variable water pump controller, and more. We regularly worked out of the rig in remote locations, so there's a Parsec dual 5G antenna installed ready for your cellular mobile router (we had a Peplink MAX BR2 Pro Dual; not included).
While we're sad to see this go, our next adventure has already started. We're familiar with just about every inch of this rig, so please reach out with any questions. The entire power system is diagrammed/drawn out for the new owners, too.
