Description
The house is worn, but servicable. The chassis is well maintained. I am the original owner. I have a detailed maintenance log detailing all maintenance (which I did) in a easy to sort Excel worksheet. Purchase Includes an 8.8 gig knowledge database I compiled over the years with 1,000's of photos, articles, receipts and tips. Current 2025/2026 CA registration, including Smog Test. Ride is typical of this chassis: rough on rough roads. Tracks straight and true, doesn't wander, Tires are 2 years old. The engine is a Cummins ISB 260 with 550 ft. pounds of torque. Shares parts with Dodge / Cummins so parts are easy and cheap. Transmission is an Allison 1000 5-speed. No fluid leaks anywhere. All maintenance is current. Generator is Onan 7.5kw diesel with 590 hours. Known issues: Back slide out requires a little push to get started. Difficult hot (over 100degree ambient temp) restart, best to crank a second wait 20 seconds crank another second, repeat 20 s. wait, 3rd crank starts right up. Or just run the engine while refueling. Starts right up when ambient is below 100. The furnace sometimes sounds like the fan is hitting the shroud. I don't use the furnace, electric space heaters are quiet and safer. The chassis was built in 2001, so the rear trailing arms are very heavy and not the thin ones used on later 2002 models which are prone to cracking. This is a rear radiator stack and consider it normal maintenance to clean the radiator every year. or you will have overheating problems. The coach weighs around 22k fully loaded, with gross capacity of 26k when towing. I have towed a Honda Civic, but this motorhome is not very powerful. Mileage is a solid 10 mpg. Less when towing. It was equipped with the all weather package, and 15k btu front a/c 11k btu rear a/c. It runs very well, and handles summer desert weather without issue. I have run it in cold weather in the 'teens, but not often. I keep it in covered storage in Needles, CA in very low humidity and no rodents have ever gotten in it.
