UPGRADES:
Suspension and tires from Weldec Designs in El Cajon, California:
This RV has undergone a major suspension upgrade thats not like other upgrade remedies you may have heard of. I drove the rig from Phoenix to Weldtec Designs in El Cajon, in September 2023 and left it there for two nights in order to have the 4 inch Adventurer kit and other upgrades installed. This upgrade is not just about lifting the RV higher, but strengthening, stabilizing and smoothing the ride. The improvement in the ride is significant compared to stock. Some of the major components include modified I Beams, custom extended radius arms and brackets, new bushings, Skyjacker lift coils, Fox Shocks all around, sway bar drop bracket and custom 10k rated progressive leaf springs. I also added a Fox Gas Steering Stabilizer. The rig now handles more like an SUV than a Class C RV and has not bottomed out since I had it upgraded. To fully appreciate the benefits of these upgrades, I recommend you go to their website at https://weldtecdesigns.com/ to see for yourself. There are also YouTube videos explaining the 4 kit installed on this RV.
The custom extended radius arms and brackets allowed for greater wheel well clearance, so I able to add much larger Discoverer AT3 LTs. Size: LT235/85R16 Load range E, 10 Ply. The rig had 18,500 miles when installed. I returned last year for the complimentary one-year post installation inspection and to have all the components inspected and tightened to specifications.

I replaced the front chrome bumper and wheel hubs with black out grill, bumper and hub caps and also added the valve stem extenders which makes airing the tires much easier.
Double step:
Due to the increased road clearance, Weldtec also installed a Class C RV Double Electric Step.
OTHER AFTER MARKET UPGRADES:
Awning:
The awning was replaced and upgraded in August 2024 by the RV Awning Company of Arizona with a 14 ft charcoal tweed vinyl awning with lights.
Stereo:
The stock Soundstream Infotainment was problematic, so I upgraded it with a Kenwood DMX706S and also added the remote.
Televisions:
Two TVS are installed: A 32 Insignia in the front and a 32 Vizio in the back
Backing Cameras:
There are a total of four Rear and side backing cameras installed. The main camera is a Haloview Byte Tango BT7 1080P wireless observation camera. It aims to the rear and can be viewed the entire time while driving. It is coupled with two wireless Haloview BTC133 Side Marker Light Cameras with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) tech. You can switch from the rear view or side views and monitor on the same screen to assist in backing maneuvers. The viewing screen for these three cameras is installed on the rear-view mirror. The original/second rear backing camera remains hard wired to the Kenwood screen and it too can be used for rear viewing and backing.
Batteries:
The house battery was replaced by two Eco-Worthy 12V 100AH LiFePO4 lithium batteries. Each has built in Battery Management System (BMS).
Battery Monitor:
A Victron Energy SmartShunt Bluetooth Battery Monitor (500 amp) is hard wired in the battery compartment.
5G booster:
WeBoost Drive Reach Overland cell phone booster for 5G and 4G LTE is installed on the roof with wires that lead the booster to the drivers area.
Black Out Curtains:
Black out curtains have been installed using ceiling mounted rails throughout the rig including the rear fan cover above the bed. This makes the inside very dark when needed and does well to keep it cool inside during the hot summers.
Service and Maintenance:
Most of the service, maintenance and repairs have been performed at LaMesa RV in Phoenix. Service records are available.
The engine oil and filter were last changed at Sanderson Ford Truck Center on May 28th at 30,480 miles.
Ive had this RV for 3 years and it was 2 years ago I had the suspension and other upgrades installed. Many of my trips were to Arizona lakes. This E450, 6.8 V10 has no problems pulling my 20 ft boat and turning around and backing at the boat ramps is no problem. Also, its smaller size makes it eligible to enter almost all National and State parks. Im selling because, Im downsizing to a truck and truck camper.
