Driving the Winnebago Travato 59GL is a breeze, thanks to its reliable engine and smooth handling. Whether you're navigating city streets or scenic highways, this motorhome provides a comfortable and enjoyable ride. And, the Travato also offers the most powerful, durable and easy-to-use lithium energy system in the RV industry. The Pure3 Energy Management System comes standard in the Travato 59GL and 59KL. This best-in-class system is U.S. built in partnership with Volta Power Systems, helping RVers cut the cord.
Pure3 is built with advanced engineering and a simple user interface so you can have confidence and peace of mind as you travel down the road. The best part of this hassle-free system is that it operates on the push of a button and a simple analog gauge that tells you how much energy remains.
With the same automotive-grade technology used in hybrid vehicles and EV applications, this newly advanced lithium energy system provides better value, ease of use, and confidence as you travel, live, work, and play.
With plenty of storage space for all your gear and belongings, you can pack everything you need for your travels. Overall, the Winnebago Travato 59GL is a top choice for travelers seeking a high-quality Class B motorhome that offers comfort, convenience, and reliability. Whether you're embarking on a weekend getaway or a cross-country road trip, this vehicle will help you make memories that last a lifetime
This rig came fully loaded from the factory and includes the OEM bike rack and ladder, removable front driver and passenger window privacy covers, and rear snap-on bug screen.
I made a few modifications to further improve the Travato making it stand out in looks and functionality. Here are a few of the modifications I did:
Removed OEM audio system and replaced it with an Alpine touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay.
Replaced the OEM tires with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires
Full set of SumoSprings
Removed the clumsy low-tech television and rooftop antenna along with gutting the useless Jenson audio system that should never have been used in the first place. Replaced it with a XGIMI Elfin Mini close-throw LED Projector with onboard Android operating system, coupled with a removable and stowed 42 Pull down projector screen. I rarely watch TV while using my Travato but I (and you) should have a great experience when we do.
Installed a Luverne Tuff Guard Black Stainless Van Grille Guard and attached a Black Oak 20 Inch Double Row Series: Scene LED Light Bar (200w) Connected to the Pure three system and separately switched at drivers fingertips.
Installed a front-facing 50 Inch Double Row: Black Oak LED Pro Series 3.0 Dual Row LED Light Bar (500w) onto the front of the OEM roof rack Connected to the Pure three system and separately switched at drivers fingertips.
Installed a rear-facing Black Oak 20 Inch Double Row Series: Scene LED Light Bar (200w) onto the rear of the OEM roof rack Connected to the Pure three system and separately switched at drivers fingertips.
Installed a Weboost cell phone signal booster with external low-profile antenna, connected to the Pure three system and separately switched.
Installed LED lighting to the inside off the lower rear storage cabinets. Connected to the Pure three system and separately switched. This is a must have and should have been OEM or at least offered by the factory.
Replaced amber front-facing roof top marker lights with smoke color market lights and amber bulbs.
Custom modified OEM trailer hitch receiver and REAR HELPER leaf springs: You need to see this to understand the modification. That, along with the added rear helper springs, allowed me to add a motorcycle rack (not included) to the back of the rig without towing a traditional trailer.
Added a Tyger rear step (removable) attached into the trailer hitch receiver.
Removed the coaxial connector that was in the galley area and replaced it with a double USB outlet.
Upgraded multiple USB outlets located in the rig.
Installed a ROLEF magnetic screen door to sliding door entrance.
No-drill conversion of the hanging closet area into a three-shelf storage closet featuring a Keurig coffee maker.
My Controversial modification: Installed a remote slow-evacuation system for the grey water tank. This allows me to slowly drain the tank at the push of a buttonperfect for avoiding the burden of hauling around a heavy load of grey water. Since my black tank takes a long time to fill, and fresh water is easy to find wherever I go, I end up filling the grey tank quickly (I enjoy using water and dont do Navy showers). I absolutely love this modand you might too. If you dont, no worries... just dont press the button!
