Description
This 2010 CASITA 17 SPIRIT DELUXE has been lightly used by first and second owners, comfortably sleeps three adults and is easy to tow. The trailer offers a convenient travel experience with the layout view shown in this listing to help orient photo perspectives.
The interior has a 73-1/2 inch ceiling height along the center hall of the main cabin and has A/C that cools well. It comes with a corded space heater and television. The mini-fridge works on propane or electric AC (also on DC power while traveling to maintain an already cooled freezer/refrigerator temperature). The cozy kitchenette and compact bathroom are fully operable and equipped as the Casita layout shows and the small gas water heater works when activated. Please note that the camping accessories pictured with the awning shade open are not included with the trailer items being sold.
A brake controller (not included) for a tow vehicle enables the electric trailer brakes when the 7-pin plug is connected. Towing awareness of exterior maximum trailer height to top of the A/C unit at 8-11 per the manufacturer and a gross allowable weight rating of 3,500# GAWR. Sale includes a weight distribution hitch for a 2 receiver that came from the first owner of the trailer but a sway bar adjustable link is also included and works well at stabilizing the trailer from rocking independently (i.e. the weight distribution hitch has not been needed).
As the pictures reveal the trailers great overall condition, the pricing is set to factor in the following knowns: The awnings lower bracket near the door functions but spins freely and the on/off switches have been tested to be faulty for the two exterior camping lights (one by the entry door and the other light above the two propane tanks). Additionally, the original AC/DC converter has an AC ripple effect that didnt result in any issues for our stays in the trailer but low DC battery voltage may eventually occur when the trailer is connected to AC power only for weeks at a time without a secondary DC charging source. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal when the RV is in storage helps preserve the 12 volt DC batterys life.
Its a fun egg shell camper trailer that offers both comfort and convenience on the road. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or new to the RV lifestyle, this is a popular rig with its stylish design, practical layout, and durable fiberglass construction. Make good memories exploring a breeze with this CASITA 17 SPIRIT DELUXE this summer.
