Description

2011 WINNEBAGO VIA 25Q, Class A motorhome on a Mercedes Sprinter Diesel F50 chassis with 5000 lb towing capacity, and Adaptive ESP (stability and control). At only 25', it's like driving a van or class C, but with the high-up big window panoramic view. We've had both class A's and Class C's, and IMHO, this is the only way to see North America. And at 17 MPG (not a typo, not an exaggeration, our ACTUAL mileage we get at freeway speed), it's actually affordable to do so. The manufacture's estimate of 15-18 mpg is right on. Our average MPG including backroads, hills, city and freeway driving over the last 5000 miles was 14.9 mpg, and like I said, 17 on the freeway. A pleasant surprise after our first gas Class A only got 6 mpg!!! And my wife even likes driving it!

Everything works, and clean inside and out. Tires have lots of life left in them. No leaks, accidents, or major repairs. Small dent in right rear compartment door. Has drivers door, two electric slide outs, and 16' electric awning, no tears or fading. Two TV's, stereo, speakers all around, cold A/C both from the dash and central air. Also large automatic 3-way fridge with removable freezer section (nice when running on LP), forced air heat (both propane AND electric - big savings in RV parks), combo microwave-convection oven, electrically height adjustable super comfy captains chairs with faux leather in excellent condition (Very small tear on drivers seat). Both seats pivot 180 to face living room (our preferred chairs for relaxing). Also a very comfortable couch with pull out bed in matching material as captain chairs. Firm Queen mattress in in walk-around master, brand new when we bought and only slept on 2 months since.

Cummins Diesel 3200 Genset has only 39 actual hours of operation (half of that by us) and burns less than half a gallon an hour at full load, a 1/3 at half load. Of course it has cruise, power driver side window, tilt wheel, backup and two side cams, power and heated mirrors, AM/FM/CD and a Sirius receiver, cable TV hook up, TV satellite dish and antenna (removed, but included). 36 Gallon fresh water, gray/waste tanks (heated in winter) with combined 36 gal capacity, filtered fresh water intake, winterization system, gas/electric hot water heater (6 gal), power vents, automatic power steps, two house batteries with 300 watt AC/DC invertor, 180 amp alternator, automatic dual battery charger, outdoor wash station/shower, 13 gal LP tank with remote fill, and lots of stuff I'm leaving out or forgetting.

Drives like a dream, and quiet. (Don't tell, but we even sometimes switch drivers while cruising). You'd never know it's a diesel, except when you need that Turbo Charged V-6 Diesel power on hills or passing. And it's sleek and low profile enough when driving into a campground that you don't get all the horrified looks on campers faces like when a big, gawdy, 45' footer comes lumbering in towing a Hummer, looking like some rock stars tour bus. Plenty big for two, but advertised to sleep four (we never tried, but I'd say four, only if two are kids). Has dining table that can be used in two positions as shown in pix, but honestly, we never used it, preferring to eat outside, or just chilling in our captains chairs.

Ok, so if it's so great, why are we're selling? We bought this RV (our 4th) for a planned year long, mother of all road trips, all across the northern USA, then throughout Canada east to west, then up the ALCAN (which we've done 3 times), all the way to Homer Alaska for our daughters wedding (and where we raised our kids, and she still lives) and finally back to the southern states in winter. So we bought it in Dallas, drove it home to outfit it, then headed out in April last year. After slightly less than 5000 miles under our belt, all our plans came crashing down in Spokane when I had to have emergency 4-way bypass surgery. Spent the next 6 weeks there recovering with complications. With no choice but to return home, my wife sadly drove it back where it has sat for the past year untouched. Never gave it much thought what to do with it, or if we'd ever get to make that trip as I was a bit preoccupied with trying not to die.

So now, a year later, we realize my health and access to my doctors - at least for the time being - is more important than the trip. Plus we had already done a lot of that trip in several sections over the years, and this was mostly to hit all the places we passed up before and to revisit those we'd previously been to. Maybe someday, but not now.

Probably way more info than you need or want, but I know when I'm the buyer, I like to get the whole story, so there it is. This is easily the nicest RV we've owned, including the 33' Class A we had. I've given you all the info I can think of, there just really isn't anything negative to report, except the bedroom window is missing the shade. We just hung up a towel and sort of forgot about it. It is one of the lowest priced Via's on the market, and you don't have to fly all the way back east to buy a rusted out flood/hurricane survivor RV. Prefer call, text, or email (theriverwind@yahoo.com). You can also leave a message thru this listing but they don't notify me when you do, so might be a while before I see it. 509-680-3790 Gary
