Description
2019 Airstream Basecamp 16X in excellent condition.
My friends this is a great deal/value for a Basecamp 16X. Perfect for going boondocking in the wilderness or staying at a beautiful RV site. 3" camper lift on this X model, with window and Body Rock guards. 160 W solar panels on roof (80 watt each X2). Truma Combi tankless on demand hot water either electric or LP gas (two 20# tanks which are full, outside on the nose framework of the RV, and 14,500 BTU Forced Air heating system. The Truma Combi system is just amazing/efficient and performs flawlessly. 9200 BTU A/C unit with internal heat strip if needed(heat) when on Shore power. The A/C is overkill for the camper size, no problem keeping comfortable when it's scorching outside! Microwave/convection unit has never been used. The bed modification was completed allowing you to have bed in back and "one" table top in place which provides a double bed. When both table tops are in place, that becomes a queen size bed. I have had three people sleep on that configuration pretty comfortably. I installed the "Fastway Flip" on the front Jack eliminating a lot of the hand manual cranking when hooking up, or removing from the tow vehicle hitch. The base camp tows like a dream, I personally don't know it's even back there! Basecamp weighs 2640 lb and has a gross vehicle weight of 3500 lb. The tongue weight of the base camp is 375 lbs on the hitch. The base camp 16X is in excellent condition, shower used once! I am having back issues so I am selling it to someone who can use, and enjoy it! Under 8,500 Miles on the Basecamp. I will include: Awning and accessories, outside woven polypropylene site "Mat", surge protector, H2O filters, wheel chocks, leveling pads, all pots/pans plates silverware, all the kitchen necessities needed for cooking and eating, and a bunch of other stuff you would need. I have an ultra quiet 3200 Watt generator, used once, which Powers the entire camper when boondocking. I am not going to throw that in with the deal, but would give you a reduced price on it. It has only been used for 8 hours. The Basecamp has never had any water leaks whatsoever. All recalls have been addressed. Send me a message through RV trader and I will get back to you with my telephone number. I personally like doing business the old-fashioned way with verbal communication, that way I can answer all questions you have. I also would take great pleasure in teaching you how to operate the systems in the Basecamp, as that was somewhat of a challenge in the beginning. I have all original manuals in the Airstream portfolio. Thank you for taking the time for reviewing my ad. Look forward to speaking with you. Best regards, Peter
