This is a 2018 Bowlus Road Chief - On The Road® Edition travel trailer. It includes all the standard features, plus the following:
It has been professionally ceramic coated by Master Paint Guard in Benicia, so it will never need polishing. The coating has a lifetime guarantee.We installed a 12v extractor fan in the kitchen, with variable speed control. This dramatically reduces cooking smells and heat from the kitchen, and can also quietly ventilate the trailer while you are sleeping.The trailer is Starlink ready, unlike Bowlus models prior to 2023. We put the Starlink router in the cavity behind the bathroom vanity with a power cord that can be plugged in to the 115v plug inside the vanity (runs off-grid using inverter). We ran ethernet cable from the router following existing cables out through the existing hole used to run power from the tow vehicle to the trailer, and attached an ethernet port with waterproof cap under the front step. No new holes were created.We added a rheostat to the bedroom fan to enable speed adjust (originally had only one speed).We added a hidden garbage can in the unused space under the kitchen sink, and added hinges and knob to the sink access panel below the sink to provide access.We installed dimmer switches for the front living room lights.We replaced the living room, bedroom, and port side kitchen power outlets with new outlets that also have USB-A and USB-C ports for charging portable devices.We replaced the storage battery in 2024.The trailer includes the portable 120-watt solar panel.
