Description

1996 Sportsmobile Class B camper van in EXCELLENT condition.

We purchased this Sportsmobile from the original owner 13 years ago with only 36,978 miles on it. It now has 49,760 miles, and it looks and operates like NEW.

Recently, we have decided to downsize (and we were not using the Sportsmobile much, mostly for local beach camping). So unfortunately, we now need to sell our Sportsmobile.

Features:

1996 Sportsmobile using the extended Ford EB E250 Van chassis.

Only 49,760 original miles, always garage stored, and meticulously maintained.

Ford 5.8L V8 gas engine, good gas milage and enough power to take you camping almost anywhere.

It seats 7 people and still has for plenty of space for cargo.

Sleeps 4, using both the Queen slide out bench seat bed, and the Twin Size Penthouse upper bed.

Penthouse pop top in excellent condition.

Captain driver and passenger seats, passenger is a side rotation seat, Propane furnace, Backup camera, Privacy shades, Removable table that mounts between the rear bench seats.

Microwave oven, Refrigerator, RV sink with faucet and electric pump, a new 6 gallon fresh-water tank, a grey-water tank, and a hookup for campsite/city water.

Removable table that mounts between the rear bench seats.

Heavy duty tow hitch with electrical hookups for trailer.

3,000 watt Battery Charger/Inverter (original) that will power your 120V appliances from batteries, and a Power Cable for 120V external power and charging.

Easy to drive and park at approx. 19ft in length, 88” tall.

Includes all of the original paperwork, maintenance receipts and records.

New tires and brakes installed less than 1,000 miles ago.

Modifications:

Removed the counter stove top and patched the counter. The stove turned out to be a mess to use and clean, and the extra countertop space was welcome. A propane BBQ and Coffee maker turned out to be much more practical.

Added a second interior auxiliary battery and installed (2) new high quality interior battery containment boxes.

Installed (2) digital voltage meters to monitor the main and auxiliary batteries.

Added a charging bypass relay so the auxiliary batteries automatically charged whenever the van was driven or plugged in.

Added a battery switch so you can start the van from any of the batteries, and a position to protect your "Starter" battery while parked.
