The Wingtip TeardropI built this one of a kind vintage inspired camper as a hybrid somewhere between a canned ham and a Teardrop. It was built in 2018 for my small family and we have enjoyed it at the lake, camper and car shows. It sleeps three and has been garage kept when not in use so it looks about the same as the day I finished the build with no water or weather damage. It is a very sturdy wood shell wrapped in aluminum supplied by Airplane Inc. which provides aluminum for restoring Airstream campers. I sorted as many vintage parts as possible to help with its vintage appeal. I am often asked how long it to me to restore it even tho it didn't exist till 2018. It is on an golfcart trailor with a 2200lb torsion axle. It is build heavy so the axle would behave well in tow and I wanted something solid. When you shut the door it feels like and old truck and not like the entire side of the camper wobbles around. The Wingtip design was inspired by the old dress shoes, the idea was to hide the seams that were necessary to skin a camper of this size. It comes with a Kansas bill of sale due to in Kansas you do not have to register a trailor under 2M. Would also be a great marketing tool or swag trailor for a traveling business, it definitely attracts attention where ever it goes. I've towed it with my 49 IH KB2, 2018 Ford explorer and a 2021 Ford Ranger with no issues.
