The powered awning was crumbled by the wind so instead of getting another one and having the same eventuality, I bought a Clam shelter.
I can put it up where I want. It takes 5 minutes to erect it and another 5 minutes to put on the windows. It can be an open 12'x12' enclosure with mesh sides to make it insect free and with the windows added it becomes weather proof. When staked down, it is invulnerable to the wind. This thing is amazing. When put away, the carry case is 6' long a 12\' across and will fit in the storage area. Even if you are not interested in this Rpod, the Clam shelters are an indispensable luxury in a glamping experience.
I have removed the ridiculous side ottomans and tossed them. They were totally in the way. I prefer a small folding chair with back if we want to sit at the end of the table. I believe in later models FR did away with those screwed in seats.
