This 2018 16' Airstream Basecamp is in really good condition and at 3500 lbs fully loaded, is a dream to tow compared to most "light weight" travel trailers. We tow it with our VW Touareg(mid-size SUV) through the mtns, no problem. All weather seals are in great shape and in fact we had the whole rig sniffed out by our local RV guru and he did up a nice report on the shape it's in--which is excellent(available on request). I noticed the seal along the top of the seam was not a great shape so we had that totally resealed. The trailer has been either under a car port, or under our shade sail, out of the weather when not in use. All systems and appliances are in good working order.

I am not aware of another RV, let alone an Airstream, that has a decent sized kitchen area, a wet bath, and Truma Combi hot water and furnace, at less that 3500 lbs.

This unit has all the bells and whistles including dual batteries with a 200 watt solar charging system. We replaced the toilet and shower sink a while ago (we just were not happy with the flushing mechanism in the stock version).

Also includes a brake control($650).

New comparable Basecamps are upwards of 55k. If you're financing that amount, good luck. Save yourself a couple years of work and buy used.


We use all year round in the PNW. From the ski resorts, to the desert, this thing gets it done in comfort, and it looks really good too.

I have clear title in hand with no lien.
