We purchased this 22 ft Keystone Cougar travel trailer new in 2022 and are regretfully selling for health reasons. In our opinion, it is the ideal package for everything from year-round full-service campgrounds to off-grid dry camping. It tows well, has a light and spacious feeling inside, and the upgraded plush Queen bed is more comfortable than our bed at home. Grandma enjoys the generous counter space and cupboards for preparing those big family breakfasts and in addition to our comfy bed, the Grandkids have slept two on the dinette bed and two on pads on the floor. There is plenty of closet and drawer storage space plus a large storage space under the master bed and full width exterior storage accessible by doors on both sides of the unit. For a compact travel trailer, this unit has generously sized fresh water and waste reservoirs (60-gallon fresh water, 76-gallon gray water, and 38-gallon waste tank) and dual 30-lb. propane bottles. The factory-installed solar power system includes two roof-mount solar panels and the technology necessary to automatically charge the dual 12-volt DC batteries and provide 110-volt AC power (follow the QR code on the Solar Flex label in the photos for further information on the 400i solar system). The unit is equipped with Cougar’s Climate Guard Protection Package, designed for function and comfort in temperatures from 0 degrees up to 110 degrees F. The unloaded vehicle weight is listed as 5,590 lb., meeting the capabilities of many “half ton” tow vehicles and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (max load limit) is 7,200 lbs., offering plenty of capacity for your gear. We have only taken it on a few excursions, but it has not disappointed.
