Description

This is a great value in a complete truck and camper package with all manuals and a lifetime of common spare parts included. This F-350 dually truck was manufactured in March of 1980. It has a great turning radius, great traction, and is very stable even in high winds. The truck runs great and all brake parts were replaced recently.

The camper has a new forced air heater, new two-way hot water tank (propane and electric), a new 3 way refrigerator / freezer (DC or AC and propane) and is in very nice condition. There is 200 watts of solar power on the roof and dual lead acid RV batteries isolated from the truck starting battery. The engine is a 5.8 liter (351 cubic inch) 4 barrel carburetor “modified” engine - it has the same engine block as the 400 cubic inch engine, just a shorter piston stroke.

The camper model and manufacture date are unknown as it was rebuilt by the original owner and lacks any brand markings (I purchased this truck camper package in 2005 from a Ford dealer service manager in Wasilla, Alaska). Alaska does not require campers to be registered as a vehicle, but Washington State does, so when I moved to Washington State the camper was inspected by the state patrol and assigned a VIN number so it could be taxed and licensed.

A Washington State vehicle title has also been issued to this camper.

Total truck milage is uncertain, as the odometer read 18,070 at the time of purchase, which I believe to be 118, 070 miles as those older truck odometers only read to 99,999 miles before starting over at 00000. The previous owner (a Ford dealer service manager) told me the engine had been overhauled with an RV cam installed. The truck has a robust 3 speed C5 automatic transmission - plenty of torque for the hills but is slower than most traffic, and as can be expected with just a 3 speed transmission the milage is only 8 to 9 mpg.

Overall a great value compared to today’s prices for trucks and campers.
