Description
In 2019 we bought this Winnebago Via 25T because of the king bed and drivability. Everyone said, "Oh, that will never last. You'll be back to get something bigger".
Four years later, we've driven throughout the west, spent a summer touring the Oregon/Washington coast, another summer circling the Great Lakes, wandering through Monument Valley (during COVID) and have NEVER regretted our decision. This nimble Class A is small enough to squeeze into Humboldt Redwoods State Park (maximum length 24 ft, yes we fit) yet hefty enough to tow an Equinox across the US.
On chilly mornings you'll enjoy the propane, vented furnace in addition to the heat pump. In the summer, the retractable screen door will keep out the pesky mosquitoes. Front bucket seats swivel to allow seating while camping and the king bed (also converts into 2 twin beds) provides extra room to stretch out after hiking Mount Katahdin.
We've added electric, rear stabilizers to keep the rig from rocking while stationary, and Tyron bands to the front wheels in case of a blowout. Under the kitchen sink, we installed a safe and WeatherTech seat covers protect the front seats.
At 15 MPG (towing your toad) you'll never hesitate to venture when fuel prices spike again.
This 25 ft motorhome allows ease of driving in tight areas and makes booking camp sites much easier. The pass thru storage underneath allows room for all your take-alongs. Inside cabinets over the cab and sofa, and surrounding the beds provides for maps, clothes and food. We seldom used the propane cooktop, preferring to grill outdoors.
Winnebago does a terrific job of outfitting the Via with lots of unexpected extras like layers of lighting, coils under the mattress to make your slumbers all the more comfy, and a convection/microwave oven over the cooktop.
We appreciated the bathroom layout, including counter space and storage.
After 4 years, this Via 25T, with a Mercedes diesel engine, is raring to hit the road again.
Reach us VIA email (no pun intended). We look forward to helping our Via find a new family.
