Affectionately dubbed "The Batmobile," we bought this fabulous 59G new in 2020. We have kept to a meticulous maintenance schedule and solved or repaired most of the classic 59G trouble spots. (The problematic screen door has been replaced with a magnetic opening screen that keeps the bugs out much more effectively. We took out the cheap and rattly plastic bathroom door and replaced it with black-out curtains. The table hinge for the front bed conversion has been welded to be more sturdy. We just replaced the coach batteries, and beefed up the brackets with some angle iron!) The coach has a brand new water pump. A new wheel bearing and front brake pads and rotors were just installed. We recently flushed the transmission fluid and have kept to a consistent oil change schedule. We have all records for new belts, water pump and other repairs. Tires are fairly new Michelin Agilis Cross Climates.
This generation 59G has the electric only fridge with the huge freezer. (18 quarts of ice cream!)
The generator powers only the microwave and the A/C unit above the rear bed. Everything else runs off of the coach batteries, including a 110 (household) outlet above the table.
It has over 100,000 miles, but these Ram Promaster cargo vans are designed to go for the long haul. (Amazon uses them for their delivery fleet.) You can find used ones for sale with 500,000 miles on them.
The Batmobile has been out fighting crime for the last three years, so has some light scratches and dings you would expect. When you consider new ones are a good $50 - $60,000 more - that can buy a lot of detailing!
