I've owned 1500 & 2500 series pickups - In my opinion, you could tow this with a large engine 1500 & some rear suspension mods / Easily with a 2500 (6.0 or larger) & right now I have a GM 2500 Duramax 6.7L - which when towing, I don't even realize the 5th wheel is hooked up. I would NOT suggest a half ton with smaller engines (4.7/5.3) etc. - Opinion 6.0L minimum.
