We bought this Sprinter in November, 2021 and Vanworks, Fort Collins CO, did our conversion in January 2022. They've been in business since 1978 and were great to work with. There is no damage to the van; it has a clean title and transferable warranty. Mileage is just under 15,000.
The conversion consists of:
A platform double bed that's very comfortable and can be removed. Small windows open above the bed and one above the countertop provide great ventilation with the Maxxair electric fan (with remote control) that is on the roof.
Full blackout curtains with magnets for all windows give total privacy.
8 "touch off" LED lights.
Driver and passenger seats that both swivel.
An Espar gas heater under the passenger seat has its control at the foot of the bed for those cool mornings.
A 3000x Yeti Battery is charged by the Sprinter wheels, a shorestation plug in, or 2-100W solar panels.
The manual awning is easy to operate and either anchors to the side of the van or the ground.
The Thetford cassette potty is housed in a carpet covered box that doubles for a seat and/or step to the bed. It has never been used.
Above the bed are two 24" removable zippered storage bags across from a carpet-covered shelf.
The galley includes a 4/6 cu feet refrig/freezer, a 15 x 15" deep sink with colandar. There is a faucet for cold, filtered water. On the end next to the driver's seat is stored a stowaway pole table. In undersink storage is a 6 gallon graywater container, a single induction hot plate (with two compatible pots), and a portable drainer. Above the galley is an aluminum cabinet with two doors.
In the back garage under the bed, there is an easy mount for two bike mounts. A rear spray off station is possible by the water storage tank.
