2022 Basecamp 20X used only twice. Took trip to Oshkosh and husband has option to keep Airstream or Purchase Homebuilt Airplane to build. He chose a homebuilt airplane.

The Basecamp 20X has the X package that includes agressive off road tires that also provide better weight distribution and 3" higher ground clearance, along with the Stainless Rock Guards and Front Window Protection. There is nothing Airstream didn't think about when designing this unit. The table tops pivot, gorgeous panoramic windows with tinted glass including heavy duty blackout shades. Cushions are made of marine fabrics and can be hosed down if needed. Includes 2 safety chains and 7 pin connection, USB ports.

This is the easiest unit we've ever towed: you will hardly notice it behind your vehicle.

The back seating converts to a King size bed, less a small area that is curved in the very back. You can use the entire seating as a bed or just partial areas such as a double bed and seating available. When up the table tops pivot for ease of entry and exit. The front dinette also can serve as a bed for an adult easily or two children.

The back door can come in use if you need to store items in the Airstream. Maybe a kayak? Maybe small items like bedding or a TV? It has a screen if you want to get some cross venilation.

We stored the unit in a garage as we had 9 foot doors. The unit with the X package is 3 inches taller than our 9 foot door. We purchased an extra set of tires and adapter to switch when we were home to store the unit inside. The tires are available to go with the unit if needed.

We added an Awning along with an Electric Tongue Jack. Another added option is a soft start wired with the AC Unit. It helps with the wear on the unit and allows you to use a much smaller generator when camping without electricity. If you do not use a generator the solar panels alone keep the unit working all night (other than AC).

The Airstream comes with a full spare tire.

The dry weight of the unit is 3,500 lbs with a hitch weight of 535 lbs.
