It has been stored indoors at National Indoor RV Center as well as a private heated indoor garage, where it currently resides. We immediately invested over $5,000 in six new Michelin RV tires exactly matching the original specs and another $5,000+ on a new hydronic heating and hot water unit. The Precision Temp unit has performed flawlessly; it is propane powered so there are no diesel fumes while operating, unlike Oasis or AquaHot diesel heaters. A new Dutch Star will cost nearly $600,000 today. This 2009 coach checks all the big boxes, so why pay more? Spartan chassis with upgraded 400 HP Cummins ISL and Allison transmission; there is a reason the Spartan chassis costs more than the Freightliner; Independent Front Suspension (IFS) for outstanding comfort and handling; Full Air Suspension; Newmar Comfort Drive with driver adjustment-- makes a huge difference; Two-mode engine brake -- absolutely essential in the mountains; Side Radiator for easy access to the engine-- lesser diesel coaches will have a rear radiator, making service much more challenging; Bunk Beds comfortable for an adult; King bed in the rear!
