Description

Just finished building my DIY adventure van. This van started life as a 15 passenger, and has now been converted to a 5 passenger. I designed it to sleep 4 (myself and 3 kids), but the sleeping area is very flexible depending on how you want to use it. The design is setup more for weekend adventures, with the ability to still use the van as a van with tons of space/storage.walls and ceiling have been insulated with 2” r10 foam sheets. The floor is not insulated, but has 3/4” plywood, and a 1/2” flooring layer.

Thule roof rack and roof box included.

Class 4/5 2” hitch is mounted. Currently a class 4, with two more bolts available that need holes drilled to make it a Class 5. 4 pin trailer light plug already installed.BFGoodrich K02 tires only have about 5k miles on them. rear break calipers and disks were replaced just over 5k miles ago. Currently just over 93k miles, and I haven’t had any issues with it. Starts and runs great every time. This is the 1 ton 6.0 V8 version, so you can basically load and or pull anything you want without issue. pictures show the cloth passenger bench seat, but I also have a vinyl one if you’d rather opt for that (no cracks or rips in the vinyl). The van has cruse control, front and rear AC, multiple power ports in the front (2 standard car plugs and one wall style), also a USB plug that is connected to the stereo. There is a RAM mount phone holder on the dash. The two long boxes in the back have lids so they can be used to store quite a bit, and there’s a small separate cabinet at the rear passenger side for storing quick access items. LED tape lights have been wired into the existing dome light wiring, so they can be controlled the same way the dome lights would be. There is also an OEM dome light cutoff switch by the headlight switch so you can have all the doors open without your interior lights running down the battery. I’ve tried to cover as much as I can, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I really do love this van. I purchased it in 2017, with about 24k miles on the clock, and would do it again. I’m just at a point where if I’m going to sell it, now would be the time, otherwise I’ll drive it for the next 200k miles, and have a blast doing it.
