For sale is beautiful and very unique Airstream Interstate. From factory these units come with a few shortcomings. Electrical system, battery capacity, inadequate A/C for passengers when traveling in higher temps. A lot of time effort and $ been spend to improve these issues. The Onon generator been removed. Custom mounting been designed to house extra batteries and additional A/C. The house battery capacity been increased to impressive 550AmpH. Manual power disconect been added located under back seat. Original set up would slowly drain house batteries if RV is stored indoors without pluging into power. The biggest improvements been done to vans A/C system. Additional floor vent has been added to the factory dash duct system, together with new front floor and subfloor all MB OEM parts. It channels the air past front seats directly to captain seats. This made a huge difference in comfort and completely changed how air circulates in the front of the van. Originally the only cold air for second row passengers would come from the dash vents located about 7 ft away! For the comfort of the back seat passengers an additional 3rd A/C unit been installed!!! It has high efficiency brushless 12V compressor, 3 speed blower fan. 7800 BTU.Compressor has dual shock damper system. No vibrations are transfered to the body of the van, even while stationary. Old Onon would vibrate the entire van. All custom, a/c lines, mounting, pivoting vent ducts been designed and 3D printed. Having a/c in the back, that you can control while driving was a game changer for our family travel. The roof Dometic ac works when connected to shore power. This Airstream is build on 2015 MB chassis. Because of the recent Mercedes Bluetec diesel recall, whole new exhaust system has been fitted in 2021. Including catalytic converter and DEF injectors. In addition, emmision system is under 120k MB warranty!!!
Over all this is a very clean and well maintained van in exelent condition. Always stored indoors since new. It's never beed lived in only few accasional night. Stove been used only for accaional coffee making. Has new from tires, oil been recently changed. Is equipmed with lane assist system. 3M Crystaline tint on front windows. No accidents, clean Carfax .
