Description

This RV was my first and I am only the second owner. The first was a couple from SoCal and they kept excellent records and well cared for an already low mileage RV.

One thing I don’t like about most RV’s is the carpet and linoleum. So, I removed it all, off the doghouse, everywhere including pulling the toilet, which is new and never used. I love this coach and it’s so nice with a new floor that just opens it up to so many possibilities or take it on the road tomorrow! It can be cleaned with a broom.

I found flooring that looks like marble tiles, interlocking 20” square, ¼” thick interlocking PVC floating floor. It wasn’t cheap but is simple to remove one or more tiles in seconds. The base wood flooring was prepped with three coats of Kiln sealant, then entire coach. After installing the tile, I installed wood trim around the entire floor of the coach. I also rebuilt the battery box, so it is easier to maintain the batteries, keeps them cooler, and is eye pleasing and more accessible.

The doghouse and refrigerator doors I marbled to match the flooring and use drop rugs for high traffic areas. The large recliner at the entrance I removed as it took up way too much space. If I were to keep the RV and rent it my next step is to put in a stand-up office and perhaps also redo the slide with the sofa and kitchenette. I do have two boxes of tiles remaining from the flooring for covering the slide, or if any should be damaged.

I removed the clunky venetian blinds and trim and replaced them with blackout curtains and they are much warmer and ultra-quiet when traveling. The cooling unit, (heart) of the refrigerator was just replaced and the roof was re-rubber coated last winter. I’ve done various cabinet updates to lose the tacky fake gold that was on them and popular back then, but it looks like it came from the factory. Many more upgrades I forget I’ve done all add to the look and feel of home in this unit. All systems are working including the Generac Gas Generator with only 250 hours on it. The filters and spark plugs were recently changed. The Odometer is only 29k on a Ford Triton injected V10 not even beyond the factory warranty on mileage and it runs like new. All the fluids and filters were changed and it’s ready to roll. I test all my systems including the generator and I know of nothing to address or I will if within reason.
