Description

Solar Panels provide the 12 volt power for this 2013 Solera with 42,693 leisurly miles for $60,000 or $65,000 with our tow 2011 Ford Fiesta with 32,358 miles on it.  The Fiesta is the ideal toad, super easy to hook up and only restriction is to keep it under 70mph, which is hard to do with this rig because of all the power.   When towing you cannot tell there is a car behind you so every once in a while I would turn on the back view camera to check it out.  I am not kidding you it is that smooth.  The motorhome suspension has been beefed up with overload rear springs, helwig sway bar and Bilstine RV shocks.  It goes around corners without swaying a bit.   I am very particular about my vehicles and maintance is a top priority.  The McCoy Freightliner Sprinter shop has done the maintance and I had them do a transmission service at 30,000 miles instead of the 40,000 mile interval recomended by Mercedes.  The front end of the motorhome and the car are covered with 3M venture film so there are no rock chips in the paint.  If you like to dry camp like we do then you will love having four solar panels on the roof so you never have to start your rig or run the generator to charge your batteries.  In fact the Onan generator only has 30.4 hours and has had three oil changes.  We only used it for the wifes hair dryer and that second pot of coffee.  The 2,000 watt inverter and the 6 Volt AGM batteries can do quite a bit but not a hair dryer.  Another major addition was the Winguard in motion satellite dish and adding satellite radio.   I have done a lot of extras like custom shelving in the storage bins, reading lights in the cab. We had the entertainment center added and I put in a 12 Volt 37" Jensen TV on a swing away mount that gives you loads of storage behind it.  There is also a 24" TV that hangs on the outside.  I have tons of extras, leveling blocks, Bar-be-que, sewer hoses, water supply hose with filter. I'll include the sunbrella sun screens, has dimmable led lights under the awning, swivel passenger seat base. porcelain toilet.  Has a brand new  Forrest River upgraded queen matress, never slept on.  Motorhome came with lots of options, too many to list here.
