"In 1976 - Prevost unveiled its hallmark Le Mirage, an eye-catching, futuristic passenger coach featuring roof-wrapping side windows, a rust-protected integrated frame, fluted all stainless-steel skirting, and much less riveting than other coaches of the time.  Later in 1978 - As longtime motorhome owners, Harbison and Campbell contributed to the engineering of the first Le Mirage conversion shell, introduced at the 1978 Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) meeting. This was more than just a bus without seats; it featured a completely flat floor with no wheel humps and the choice of an 80", 83", or 86-inch floor-to-ceiling height. And to accommodate various floor plans, the roof-wrapping windows could be placed anywhere along the sides of the coach. Prevost set new standards in reliability and versatility for high-end custom furbishing. Five years later, Prevost had achieved industry leadership. To day Prevost remains the undisputed world leader in the manufacture of bus shells for high-end motorhomes priced in millions.
