Kansas City West/Lawrence KOA is a 94-site RV resort located just a 5 minute drive away from downtown Lawrence and 10 minutes from the University of Kansas campus. This extremely popular campground just off Interstate-70 provides RV owners and campers with multiple ways to vacation for a night, a week or on a monthly basis all year long. The property is equipped with numerous RV site options, multiple cabin choices and tent sites. Additionally, a new owner will be able to enjoy increased cash flow as a result of a newly built RV & boat storage facility with approximately 75 spaces.
The RV resort offers a total of 63 RV sites. Of the 63 sites, 24 are seasonal offering longer term campers full hook-up with 30 and 50 amp service. 18 sites are full hook-up with cable tv optional at an additional charge. 9 sites are full hook-up with 30 and 50 amp service and 8 sites are full hook-up with just 30 amp service. Of the remaining four sites, two are patio sites and two are premium RV sites. These luxury sites offer gravel or concrete pads along with patio furniture. In addition to the RV sites, guests have the option to enjoy the campground in one of the many cabin options. There are five one-room cabins at the campground that offer a full bed and bunk bed as well as A/C and sleep up to four people. There are three camping cottages at the park that offer full bath with shower, queen bed, bunk bed and sleep up to four people. There are three camping lodges on the property that come equipped with a full bath and shower, queen bed, either a loft and bunk bed or two bunk bed sets, full kitchen and sleep up to six guests. The deluxe cottage come fully equipped with screen in porch, queen bed, a full sleeper sofa, sleeping loft, full kitchen, full bath with shower and sleeps up to eight campers. There are a total of 13 cabin choices on the property. The park also offers 12 dry tent sites, two tent sites with water and electric hook-ups and four deluxe tent sites with water, 30 amp electric and defined parking and tent area with a kiosk for charging electronics.
While staying at the Kansas City West KOA guests have access to wi-fi, cable TV, laundry facilities open 24 hours, two playgrounds, game room, party pavilion and outdoor movie screen. Other amenities include a swimming pool, dog park, convenience store, bike rentals, propane, firewood, basketball and volleyball.
The Kansas City West KOA is located just north of downtown Lawrence and just west of the major metro area Kansas City. Located along Interesate-70, travelers have easy access to the campground via this major thoroughfare. In addition to the many things the campground has to offer, guests are just a short drive from the University of Kansas campus. In addition, campers can enjoy the Schlitterbahn Waterpark 30 minutes east along I-70 or the Kansas City Lego Land 40 minutes east of the campground. Right next to Lego Land is the Sea Life Aquarium, another area attraction.
