The Palace Campground is family-owned and operated and is one of the oldest campgrounds in Illinois. Situated on 32 country acres, the Palace Campground offers a wide range of hookup types, including rustic sleeping cabins. Enjoy our outdoor pool or challenge yourself on our miniature golf course.  The miniature golf course is open to the public and you can see the number of sales generated as reflected in the financial statements.

The campground is located within the city limits of Galena, Illinois.  It consists of 32 acres zoned commercial Planned Unit Development.  There are two Highway 20 access entrances.    The Northern edge borders Oldenburg Lane with access to that street also.  With dual access the grounds could be divided into commercial for the front acres and residential or some combination for the remaining grounds.  The Planned Unit Development (PUD) rules allow for the construction of identified assets within each planned area.  Cabins can be added pretty much at will by notification and a ten-dollar permit per cabin.
