Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde is an 84-site RV resort located in Mancos, Colorado between Cortez and Durango along US Route 160. Open from April through October, campers reserve spaces for nightly or weekly stays or with group reservations. This well-maintained RV park gives campers a variety of choices to stay including full hook-up pull-through sites, cabins, tent sites and group tent sites.
All the full hook-up and water/electric sites have 30- and 50-amp service. With 69 total RV sites at the park, 49 are full hook-up. The remaining 20 RV sites are water/electric. The park offers large 70-foot sites that can accommodate any size RV. The four cabins on the property measure approximately 10x12 and can comfortably sleep four to five people a piece. Each cabin is furnished with one queen bed, bunk beds, an LG air conditioner, an electric heater, and TV. Every cabin has a welcome bench on the covered deck outside as well as a charcoal grill. In addition, the park offers 11 tent sites. Four of those tent sites are water/electric only and the remaining seven are dry camping. Campers can enjoy fire rings, grills and picnic tables on the grounds.
While staying at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde guests have access to Wi-Fi, antenna TV, laundry open 24 hours, and an updated playground. The antenna TV receives 80-100 channels of Denver, Durango, Salt Lake City and Albuquerque local channels. The Rec Hall is a fun hang-out for visitors where they can enjoy a coin-operated pool table and foosball. Other amenities include a heated pool, commercial 12-person tub, two fenced in dog park, 18-hole mini-golf course, store with gifts and groceries, propane, firewood, and 24-hour restrooms.
Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort is located directly off US Route 160. This thoroughfare provides easy access to Cortez to the west and Durango up to Pagosa Springs and the Continental Divide at Wolf Creek Pass to the east. US Route 160 is the primary route to get to the Four Corners Monument that draws around 250,000 visitors annually. Moreover, the park is perfectly located for travelers visiting the Mesa Verde National Park, which saw 500,000 visitors in 2022 as the second most visited national park in Colorado. Directly across the street from Ancient Cedars is the Mesa Verde Visitor Center. The entrance station to the Mesa Verde National Park is a short three-minute drive from the property.
